We visited as a family of three - my wife, my daughter, and I. The meadow has plenty of parking spaces, and it was fairly full, which shows the trail is quite popular. To reach the main trail, you first go through a section with some steep climbs and descents. Mosquitoes can be a real nuisance here, so bring repellent or wear clothing that covers most of your body.
There’s a spacious picnic area with a grill and toilet near the lake. From there, you can choose between the bog trail or the hill trail. We chose the bog trail - it’s beautiful and easy to walk. There are some parts with steep uphills and downhills, but also classic bog sections and areas where the path is made of tree roots.
