Озеро Поркуни занимает площадь 41,5га. Плотинами оно поделено на большое Сууръярв, верхнее Юлемине, медвежье Каруярв (или нижнее Алумине), садовое Аяйярв и Ирландское озера. Прославили озеро Поркуни плавучие островки в большем озере Сууръярв. Народное предание повествует о крестьянской девушке Кайе, которая своей красотой поразила хозяина мызы. Но Кайе не отвечала взаимностью. Как-то Кайе на берегу озера сгребала сеноохапки, и тут-то хозяин столкнул ее в воду. Кайе утонула, а из охапки сена появились...

Suurim Porkuni neljast järvest on väga selge veega (nähtavus kõikjal põhjani) ja allikatoiteline järv, mille peal sõidavad ringi ujuvad saared. Suure põuaga jääb järv vahel ka kuivaks. Järvedest saab alguse ka Valgejõgi. Järve kaldal on ujumisrand koos väikese Kulles-nimelise rannakohvikuga ja väikese vettehüppetorniga.
