Raigastvere vaatetorn — Attraction in Tartu vald

A nice watchtower in the middle of fields on a higher spot on the terrain. Good view on the area during clear weather. Accessible by a car and there is a parking lot for about 5-8 cars but after 5 it will be crowded. I like that this watch tower is accessible all the time. The body of water next to the area provides a decent spot to bird watchers, I personally spotted a hawk. There is a wooden bench with a table for sitting but it has fungus all over. There is also an information board about the local area and there is a QR code attached to the back of it seemingly for local schools' educational purposes. There is an outhouse present but at the time I visited there was no toilet paper or the stuff necessary to throw into the toilet after use. A nice quiet spot to chill for an introvert but occasionally a school bus full of children or a tractor might interrupt the peace and quiet. Narrow and unconvenient to climb metal tower. Not suitable for those afraid of heights, you probably won't be able to fully enjoy the view. Hopefully will be replaced by better-designed construct...

Koht on mega ja torn tundub, et on kestev vastupidiselt nt. Lähte jpm vaatetornidele. Küll aga oleks vajalik, et keegi kes seda loodetavasti haldab mõtleks nendele korruste piirete osas mingi uuema lahenduse välja. Lastega ma ei soovita sinna kindlasti minna, täiskasvanutelgi tasub väga ettevaatlik olla treppidel millel on oht libiseda ja halvemal juhul otse piirdealt läbi kukkuda. Sellest...
