A stunning vastness of authentic and ancient nature. A rather rare type of landscapes in Europe or other so called civilized world of boreal zone. Especially regarding its size. Some wooden pathways are indeed not the ancient but a very contemporary element of the place. However these add remarkably to access of bogs and contribute thereby to overall experience as well as to conservation of these otherways untouched wild nature areas.

A must visit in Estonia for anybody caring about experiencing nature at its purest beauty and of especial forms. Great visit to sense ancient solitude, tranquility and quiet, and remoteness from any sign of civilization during any season throughout the year. While touristic season, you could expect however, meeting a small group or two of other nature lovers throughout your several kilometers hike on these pathways. Picking berrys and mushrooms is safe there, and cranberry you could find almost year around 😉 Enjoy, and keep untouchedness...

Fantastique !!!

We slept in Karuskose for two nights in July 2017. It was in the middle of a little paradise. The guided bog tour and our canoe beever tour we did, startet and ended in Karuskose too, next to our own little hut. We could do a bath into a natural bog pool, do a original smoke sauna together with our hosts, for free. In the river, we jumped in for cooling down after sauna, splashed a beever away, right next to us. Our hosts was very kind and gave us some fine insider tips. I guess we come back again when...

Beautiful, barren, wet, desolate - Soomaa is a land of contradictions, with a surprise around every corner. There are some wonderful tracks to hike along, and the bogs are truly otherworldly. It feels like the end of the world. Whether it's the wet season or the dry, a day at Soomaa is unforgettable, challenging and unique. I kayaked down the river, which gave me time to contemplate the futility of my life. I really have thrown away every opportunity I've had for success and happiness.

If you are a nature lover : fauna, bogs, forest, wilderness swimming in a bog, wild creatures, plants - must visit this place!!!very convenient path around 5 km roundway - several places to swim, the picture changes each 300 meters. One platform to observe from the high. Great place to dive into the nature and escape from the city noise
