I walked up there all alone and suddenly I was standing in an ancient cavern on the top of a steep rock, where Sapiens tens of thousand of years ago excavated red ochre for beauty, sun protection, ceremonies and cave paintings. It’s a small cavern. It’s not at all spectacular. But the height, the abyss, the lonesomeness combined with the fact that our species used this mine to advance its culture more than 40.000 years ago gives you a feeling much more profound than taking selfies in front of the...

This is a pearl when you think about a view. We where expecting a mine of some sort as the signs says there is but there is not much left. Instead you will get blown away by an incredible view! If you have a car which can stand a bit if rough terrain you have to...

Wonderful place! Not a very difficult walk up to get to the cavern. Honestly one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in the country. Great history to learn about as well. Not crowded. R70 for internationals and R50 for locals as an entrance fee.
