Ras Dashen (Dejen)is only a rocky mountain top @4543 m above se level (refer the pic). In comparison to the breathtaking view on the trip there, therefore it's not the destination that matters here. Note: Semien mountain and Ras Dashen (Dejen) are completely different.

Najwyższy szczyt Etiopii. Piękne widoki w drodze, szczególnie na odcinku Chennek-Ambiko. Niestety pod szczytem znajduje się baza wojskowa, żołnierze nie pozwalają na wejście, nawet na pobliski szczyt o tej samej wysokości. Może kiedyś wrócą lepsze czasy dla Etiopii. Niemniej trekking to była duża przygoda, polecam.

Ras Dashen, also known as Ras Dejen, is the highest mountain in Ethiopia and fourteenth highest peak in Africa. Located in the Simien Mountains National Park in the North Gondar Zone of the Amhara Region, it reaches an elevation of 4,550 metres.
