It's not just about the waterfall itself, which is not particularly special except for the fact that it falls directly into the ocean. It's also about the picturesque view of the waterfall, the sea, the village of Gasadalur and the surrounding area. Together, they make for a magnificent, breathtakingly scenic view. In spring and summer, the grass around it turns a beautiful, fresh, vibrant green.

This waterfall is included in most blogs about the Faroe Islands and the top 10 places to visit there. You definitely won't regret it.

It's very easy to access as it's not far from the car park. Unfortunately, as there are only a few spaces in this car park, people tend to park their cars everywhere along the road. There is another legal car park up in the village of Gasadalur, but from there you have to walk down the hill to reach the waterfall.

If you go there during strong winds, the waterfall will flow in the opposite direction, which is great fun as people go to the nearby footbridge to get showered by the waterfall!

If you visit between May and August, you might see puffins to the left of the waterfall, particularly in the evening when they return from the sea and become more active (you will need binoculars or a long lens).

Several small islands can be seen around the area.

This place is a photographer's and drone operator's paradise. The scenery is dramatic whether it's sunny or a little cloudy.

It's also one of the few tourist spots where you don't have to pay to visit. At the scenic viewpoint, there are stairs leading down to the rocky shore. However, there is a sign at the bottom saying that you are not allowed to go there. So, you can probably guess what some...

Múlafossur Waterfall is easily the most famous attraction in the Faroe

A nice walk from the village houses in Gásadalur, you will find this famous waterfall. This plummeting waterfall is known for its taking-your-breath-away experience. Just before getting to the waterfall, you will drive through the Gásadalstunnilin tunnel.

There is a parking lot near the waterfall. From this parking lot, you will walk for 2 minutes in order to reach the breathtakingly beautiful waterfall that drops into the ocean. The cascade drops more than 30 meters (100 feet).

During windy days, you are likely to see the water rising up into the air. This is a common sight all around the...

The Múlafossur Waterfall, located on the Vágar Island in the Faroe Islands, is not only a testament to the raw, untamed beauty of the Faroese nature but also a popular attraction for those who seek a tranquil escape.

Your journey to the village of Gásadalur, home to the stunning Múlafossur Waterfall, will take you through breathtaking scenery.

Upon arrival, a brief walk will lead you to the prime viewpoint. Here, you will be greeted by the magnificent sight of water cascading into the Atlantic Ocean. The scene is enhanced by the vibrant green landscape and the unending harmony of the crashing waves.
