A short hike but with a beautiful view! From Klaksvik take the the street Nidan Horn and then turn right into Astarbravt. Keep driving the gravel road until you rich a small parking area. Leave the car there and walk up the Klakkur. Absolutely no need to drop the car before the gravel road as the way up in not interesting and long. At the end of the paved road don't stop. There are some works but you can go. The view up there is amazing but obviously you need to way for beautiful weather! The way up in easy but steep. The first part of the hike you'll find gravel steps then it's up...

An incredible hike, some of the best views I’ve experienced in 30 years of walking. We parked at the end of the ‘real’ road before it turns into more of a track which added about 20 min to the walk. If you don’t mind a single track rough drive you can continue and park at a view point before starting the walk. The walk gives views across Klaksvik and then as you hit the summit Kalsoy appears, wow. We walked in quite high winds and it was hard going at the top as a result. Although not a serious hike come well equipped with...

When standing on the mountain top, after 45min hike, you will see the entire Kalsoy Island and the front of Kunoy Island. You can also follow the ferry to Kalsoy Island as it finds it way from Klaksvík to the harbour in Syðradalur on...

Last week i brought my sister
on a hike that i had never
tried before.
There’s a viewpoint
overlooking the city of
Klaksvík, and we thought it
would be a great hike on a
sunny day.
