Ásmundarstakkur trailhead — Attraction in Sandvík

Beautiful trail. We walked up the path and then followed the sign pointing into the fields. Keep walking in the direction it’s pointing and eventually you arrive at the incredible view. It took about 30mins from the parking lot to the view point. We didn’t hike from there to the bridge. One warning… the parking lot gets extremely muddy. A car got stuck there, so recommend...

Don’t follow the route/path! Look for the sign that says “Ásmundarstakkur” and follow that, yes you need to go through the field. You will see from time to time some low level sticks with a yellow flag. You can’t miss the sign, but you can easily oversee the name of the place because it is on the right side.
