An amazing experience I will never forget!!
5/5 stars!
Would highly recommend you visit here! View and landscape is immaculate! There is an option to do Zipline only or Zipline and Abseiling. I had done the Zipline only but will 100% do the abseiling combo when I come here again.
Had booked tickets in advanced and organised travel via our hotel in Nadi for a pick-up and drop off.
When arriving at the base we checked in and a demonstration was given and shown on how to use the equipment.
The guides are awesome and have the patience of saints, as well as being friendly, helpful and funny which really make the experience that much more fun! They'll encourage you and take photos and videos with your phone to capture an authenthic and genuine experience! And even help bring your waterbottle along!
Check out some of the insane maneuvers the guides do while going across the zipline!
You'll be stunned by the views, awesome vantage points to see the horizon from atop a mountain, as well as learn some interesting history behind the landscape and area!
After the zipline we got to eat some food the team had prepared, which was delicious! You also have a chance to talk with the team. I couldn't help but smile the entire way back when we were done!
To the team at Zip Fiji, Vinaka vaka levu! Thank you all and looking forward to coming back here again!!
For those interested to book, check below:
If you have any fears - fear of heights - I recommend preparing for this mentally, but honestly after the first zip, my fears were gone and couldn't wait to do the rest!
Let the guides and team know of any corcerns OR health issues! Don't be shy to talk with the guides! Its better if they know beforehand so they can help make this a great experience for you!
There is some travel time distance wise but its worth it. You can organise a pickup/drop off from some hotels/resorts so make sure you check when booking tickets otherwise organise alternative travel.
There are NO BATHROOMS after leaving the base as youll be zipping across the mountain.
There's quite a number of stairs so keep in mind youll be doing some uphill walking between some - not all - ziplines, so keep that in mind.
Eat well and stay hydrated!! Other than that,...
Read moreAs long term, independent travelers we don't typically do splurges like this. But seeing the reviews, and looking at the competitor, decided to do this one. The morning transfer shuttle was EARLY (never had that happen), the rain was literally flooding Nadi, but we decided to still go. Somehow it miraculously stopped after the hour drive (that long due to hotel pick ups, actual distance is about 1/2 hr from Nadi.) From the moment the bus pulled in, the guides greeted us with enthusiasm and energy. Check in, gearing up, backpack storage, etc was easy. Quick safety/brake control lecture and we were on our way! There are 6 lines that you climb (quite steep stairs if you're not used to being active), but the guides are constantly smiling, laughing, taking pictures with your phones, overall entertaining. As you're climbing your making your way over and through boulders. One guide carried a backpack with everyone's water and offered breaks along the way. At the top, we entered cannibal cave, and were told a history of the area... On the way down there were 10 lines. Laughing, joking, infectious enthusiasm! Things that made our trip a little better: due to weather and people canceling, there was a total of 8 participants and three guides, so not much waiting around. The gray weather worked in our favor, keeping us cool as we climbed stairs up. Fijians LOVE children, bringing an 8 year old made it MORE fun! We had vegetarian lunch, curried vegies and rice, banana bread... Promptly left at noon... For a splurge, awesome experience, fantastic views and great guides, definitely do it! Tips: bring your own water bottle to save money, use lots of mosquito spray before heading up the mountain, be VERY careful on downward descent on stairs as they can be slick...
