Friluftsmuseum Jan Karlsgården — Attraction in Ålands Countryside

This Jan Karlsgården was one of the best sights to see in Åland and its so close to the castle. After visiting this area, I truly recommend to eat nearby lamb and salmon soup in local restaurant. Check out the pictures how wonderful visit we had and imagine yourself having the same experience.

Ps. Don't forget to visit the prison next by this place.

Ps2. Don't forget to feed the sheep's. They are very lovely especially for small kids.

I can totally recommend this place. Is situated in a lovely environment where visitors can walk without any restrictions. You can enjoy several typical farmers houses, windmills and much more. Close to the museum is old Åland prison (nowadays museum) where you can have short overview of the prison too....

Wonderful place for all ages. Free of charge. Enough space to walk around or roam free. Cool expositions. Interactive for kids. We went to castle museum guided tour first, then to restaurant right by the open air museum, then went here. All walking distance, one by another. Felt like...
