The hike is easy, even for parents with bad backs and heart conditions - the hike begins with a steady incline and then it's mainly on the flat but you're always taking lots of photo breaks so the hike is broken up. We did the 4.8km loop and included a laavu sausage lunch which was sheltered and well equipped eating place. Read moreThis walk took us about 3 hrs in thick deep snow wearing snow walkers. From middle of the path it was fresh snow so wasn’t walked by anyone else so was tricky to find out way, thank god the posts were there direction us. It’s a medium to easy walk and dog friendly.
We took the 4.6km walk and that’s the green route. Half way on that route is a log cabin with open fire to help cook up some grub.
