The name implies both the settlement and the glass works area. This is about the glass works area. It's a village because the site is composed of a number of smaller structures. The Iitalla Glass factory outlet store includes a museum component displaying the historic, traditional and modern moulds used in glass vessel/display item making. The store includes glass by Iitalla and other objects by other will known facilities from Finland. The prices are the same as in their stores in Helsinki. One that you'll not obtain elsewhere are the items of glass that are produced after they change the color of glass poured into the moulds. These create a unique colour of which there are no repeats as the colour varies from one piece to the next.
