Welcome to the 80s, there is an accident waiting to happen.
Don't get me wrong, kids (6&9yrs) had time of their lives during our visit. That's the good news. Problem is that the tickets for a family of four cost 124€. What did we get for the price: dirty toilets, unhappy employees, broken rides, rundown park area and a water park that was just in disgusting shape. We arrived during the first opening hour and toilets were not cleaned, great way to start the day. We didn't get a single hello from the staff. When we thanked them, we got back grunts.
If the measurement is that kids have fun, great, that was achieved. With 124€ I expect more. Where is the money from the tickets put into? Not in maintenance, employees or cleaning. We spend 0€ to anything else during our visit just because everything was over priced so badly. Margins for basic ice cream must be around 85%. The whole place is a total rip off. My last visit was in the early 90s and I have to say that nostalgia was real, nothing had changed and the park was in way worse condition that I remembered.
Water park side was just as run down. Black mold on the walls. Dead bugs, food and feathers from local wild birds in the water yet all staff were just on "life guard duty". Why not clean the pools while watching the pools? Why everything was covered in brown stains?
There were not too many people and I understand why. You can't be asking this kind of price and keep the park in such state. This is greed in it's purest form. One star because the kids had fun, one star because there was no queues and...

This park does not live up to today's safety standards. It's actually shocking that this park has a license to operate. Many of the activities were closed or unstaffed. The playgrounds are rather dangerous for children as often the wood is broken or vital parts are missing. Everything looks very old and not taken care of.
Even though it is nice to see that this park employs young people, the staff needs training in customer service and safety. There was no hello or a friendly smile. Once the button to operate a machine was pressed, the staff would stare at their mobile phones. There was an incident at the electric car race course, where a child turned the car into the wrong direction and drove head-on towards the other child (only two of those cars were in operation). The other child was able to avoid the crash However, the staff member was standing with his back to the race course, chatting with friends.
The food is of low quality and virtually no options for vegetarians or vegans. At 4:30 pm most of the ice-cream kiosks were closed. Advertised coffee specialities couldn't be properly prepared because of lack of ingredients.
Each person needs to pay 31 € even though most of the "attractions" are for children. And many things are simply...

But only because the whole park is so badly maintained that it looks more like a parody than a professional and serious amusement park. And the staff does nothing to hide it. I honestly felt unsafe for me, as well as the children, because when the neglect is so obvious that it have to have an impact on the safety. Simply put, the park is poorly driven. It looks like Puuhamaa is bankrupt, or will be soon, on the expense of poorly motivated staff and neglect of safety. Seems like everyone is waiting for the accident that wilm close them down for good.
If i could give zero stars I would. I have also read several reviews here, and it seems like many people have misunderstood the concept of star rating, because they write the same as me but give four or five stars?
Unfortunately I didn't take photos. But don't go to see for yourself. Just stay away from Puuhamaa as a whole. We didn't go to the water park area, but we could see the water was dirty from a distance - its not a joke!...
