Lake Bodom — Attraction in Helsinki sub-region

One of the best lake areas in Espoo scenics-wise. Famous for the unsolved manslaughter murder happened there decades ago. In its surrounding areas, there are a lot of sporting possibilities, such as water boarding, skating, disk golf, BBQ, hiking, weight lifting, and of course swimming in summer and skiing in winter. Bodominjärvi on kaunis ja rauhallinen luontokohde Espoossa, jossa yhdistyvät upea järvimaisema, vehreät metsäpolut ja ripaus mystiikkaa. Kävimme siellä retkellä aurinkoisena päivänä, ja järven rannalla oli helppo unohtaa kaupungin kiireet.

Alue tarjoaa hyvät mahdollisuudet ulkoiluun – patikointireitit olivat selkeitä ja maisemat todella upeita. Järvessä voi myös uida, ja rannat ovat siistejä. Eväät kannattaa ottaa mukaan, sillä nuotiopaikoilla voi paistaa makkaraa ja nauttia luonnon rauhasta.

Paikan historia lisää sen kiehtovuutta. Bodominjärven surmat ovat synkkä osa Suomen rikoshistoriaa, ja alueella liikkuessa voi melkein tuntea menneisyyden painon. Tämä tekee paikasta erityisen mielenkiintoisen historian ja mysteerien ystäville.

Ainoa pieni miinus on se, että alue voi olla vilkas kesäisin, ja parkkipaikat saattavat täyttyä nopeasti. Myös hyttysiä oli kesäiltaan mennessä aika paljon, joten kannattaa varautua hyttyskarkotteella.
