Talma Ski Oy — Attraction in Helsinki sub-region

Nice place for skiing and snowboarding but mostly for beginners and intermediate skiers. There is a small hill for absolute beginners and children and bigger hills with steeper slopes for more advanced skiers. When i visited the place it was Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy. The gear cost us 25 euros for 3 hours. The lift cost 33 euros but i never used it, so if someone is not planning to go to the higher hills i wouldn't pay for the lift. There is no other entrance fee. A good centre for both beginners and more experienced skiers alike. To the side, there is a child's winter snow experience, which my son really enjoyed (especially sitting in inflatables and sledges before hurtling down the slopes. There is ski hire available, as well as a small shop, where you can purchase skiing accessories. The cafe is reasonable, with a decent selection of hot and cold snacks, as well as drinks. There is enough here for three-fours hours...

In Talma you really can get the fullest skiing experience of Southern Finland. 55m high summit offers breathtaking view to basically nothing interesting around the mountain. Small minus for not offering heli-skiing tours and having very expensive beers.

To be serious, this place offers a lot for park rats and kids, but otherwise you need to have very bad graving for skiing to get anything out of this hill. Still best spot in...
