Voipaala Art Center — Attraction in Southern Pirkanmaa

A very beautiful and big old mansion. Well worth the detour from the main road. Extremely friendly staff, very good cinnamon bun. The cafe is beautiful, and if there's good weather, you can have your lunch or refreshments in a very beautiful garden. There's also an art exhibition to make your visit interesting, and you can always spend a couple thousand on an impulse purchase of modern art.

Not only its the food better and the place more beautiful than any gas station, the prices are cheap too.

We went there for a workshop but also as a way to experience a nice atmosphere. They offer rooms, exhibitions and food (fantastic cakes!!). The days was much better than that. Arvostelu koskee lähinnä taidekeskuksen ja ympäristön ulkoista olemusta ja sen merkitystä kiinnostavan tututumiskohteena. Valkeakoski on vuosien mittaan pitänyt jonkinlaisena kulttuurikaupunkina. Voipaalasta puhutaan ja kirjoitetaan kaunnisti, mutta ainakin näyttää siltä että kaupungin ohjaama rahallinen tuki käytetään mieluimmin keskustassa pidettävän musiikkitapahtuman tukemiseen. Voipaala ei kerää runsasta runsaasti alkoholia käyttävää nuorisoa, vaan todellisesta taiteesta kiinostuneiden ja hillitysti sekä arvokkassti käyttäytyviä kulttuurin ystäviä. Olisikin tärkeää että vanha päärakennus saisi pikaisesti ulkoisen peruskorjauksen. Myös ympäröivä puisto vaatisi perusteellisempaa hoitamista. Uudistamistakin?
