Levin Sammuntupa and Reindeer Farm — Attraction in Tunturi-Lapin seutukunta

Enjoyed learning about reindeer herding and then feeding the reindeer. The first group were too shy so we moved to another and the reindeer were much more social. Little kids were not afraid to roam and feed the reindeer. After the time with the sauna (with shower and change room options) was nice.

4 stars for two reasons: 1. Lunch with reindeer meat was lovely but not enough meat (more bread). 2. Going into the water was more work than I had hoped and in the end I could only get down the ladder just over my knees before my feet were in pain. Perhaps stairs and rail into water...

An amazing experience and definitely a highlight of our stay in Levi! We booked the reindeer experience and learned so much about reindeer and traditional herding practices in Finland. Feeding the reindeer was especially fun. The farm itself is absolutely beautiful, and we were lucky to visit right after a fresh snowfall, which made it even more magical. We did the 1 hour tour including information about reindeer and feeding them. The setting and the farm is beautiful and you get to explore it on your own in the end if you want to. The information was interesting. We were a group of 15 people and they let us feed 4 reindeers which did not feel ideal. The reindeer were also really shy, and only 2 of the 4 would come and feed.
