Hiked the trail to Keimiötunturi. You can park your car on the car park next to the road leading to Tunturikeimiö. Walk up to Tunturikeimiö. There will be a sign pointing to the Keimiötunturi trail right after you pass the cafe. Follow the trail where you will find another smaller sign on a tree on the first left in the pine tree forest. After around 400m, you will arrive at a wooden reindeer fence. You can go through it by moving some of the poles to the side. Make sure to close it after you get inside. Continue the path where it will soon start getting very steep and rocky. The entire trail has about 600m of elevation, 6km round trip, and takes around 2-3 hours. Drink clean, cold, revitilizing water from streams, listen to birds songs, follow reindeers in forest but be aware of them on the road. Read moreWe did a 54km hike over 3 days with a tent in early September. Minus degrees during the nights. Luckily only the first day with rain. The rain showers were on & off so it would have been great to have a waterproof outer shell instead of separate rain clothes. And my shoes fell apart coz I didn't use them for a while....
