Today was our 5th time going up and down Saana, but while it gets harder as our age increases (I'm 47, husband is 53), it never gets any less impressive. The first third is always the hardest, in my opinion. About 1km through a small birch forest (literal battalions of mosquitoes driving you nuts as they attempt to suck every last drop of your blood) and then up fairly steep rocky hill and then u some stairs to where the climb properly starts. The views from the top are breathtaking, and well worth the sweat it takes to get there. I would say, as is often the case, the coming down is much harder. With already tired legs the chance of stepping on a loose rock and sliding are high and again, the last thing you need up here is a bang on the head or a broken ankle. All in all, it's a fantastic lace that always draws you back for some reason. Thoroughly recommend for anyone with basic decent...
