The Village Des Automates — Attraction in Aix-en-Provence

You definitely can feel the age of some of these rides and automaton displays, but our daughter loved it so much she cried when we left. Huge space, huge variety, live animals too, bit of walking between rides in some areas. Some are a bit difficult for the minimum ages (like the trampoline nets in the trees, daughter couldn't pull herself up the ladder). Only bad thing to say is some rides need maintenance (again, showing age) or would be so amazing if they had a li'l something extra. There was some sort of Easter hidden egg search going on (find cards in the automaton displays w/ letters on them), but we received no info from the ticket counter when we entered. Even after some of the negative reviews we decided to still come here.

Maybe some of the attractions were a bit older, but most important is that the kids enjoyed themselves. And they had a blast, didn't want to leave at all.

A lot of shading from the trees, a lot of benches to sit (in the shadow) and watch the kids play. The water park was also a success. We didn't have enough time to explore the entire park.

2 minor points If you come here to see the dinosaurs, they're not really worth it. The food was also not great, we only had the sweet crepes available, no sandwiches or other hearty food. And the sauces on the crepes were overly sweet and way too much sauce.

After reading the Google reviews and looking at the available photos, we had LOW expectations. So we were extremely pleasantly surprised at how great this park is! We spent 4 hours there and could have stayed longer if we had the time. The attractions are diverse, well maintained, and a lot of fun. Lots of ziplines, climbing structures, slides, plus thematic attractions. Our kids are 6 and 7 and we'd definitely take them back. At first we thought 15 euros per person was a lot, but after spending so much time there and enjoying so many activities, we realized it is an excellent value. I'd say ideal age...
