Société du Col de Cricheto — Attraction in Ajaccio

This is a beautiful little land train trip up a hill through a Maquis(a forest or grove of fruit trees etc) this particular maquis was chestnuts and acorns. As their are no squirrels on the entire island of Corsica, these trees are untouched and are absolutely beautiful. In my photo of the train you can see the chestnut tree hanging over with the spiky chestnuts still attached. Stunning view from the top of Lake Tolla which looks greener on person than what the picture shows. There is also wild mint growing at the top that the bees were loving. We stopped by hoping for a scenic train ride, but were told that it would be a 10-minute train followed by a 1-hour walk. Unfortunately, no information was available in English or other languages french only, which would make it difficult to understand and get the full experience. Was sold to us as a mountain train through mountains by cruise line excursions. It's a kids train that drives up a short concrete path in the woods to a view point then back down again.
