It was a very powerful overwhelming chateau inside with wood beamed ceilings throughout the chateau. The beamed ceilings have detailed mini-scenes on them with other painted and gold accents on them. The husband's bedroom was one that shouldn't be missed. It was quite impressive and more than most of the other chateaus I have visited. The wife's bedroom was very nicely done. The theme throughout was with animal antlers and animal heads on the walls. The kitchen was great to see, too! The grounds looking from the windows was pretty to see and photograph. There were very wonderful pieces of furniture with inlays and all. The tapestries were worth seeing. They even have a wine cellar where you can sample their wines for free and purchase bottles of you would like to. Many people were doing just that! Plus they have a room for staged performances to take place with theater seating and all! I definitely would recommend visiting this chateau. It has a lot to offer visitors to experience!

This is a beautiful castle next to a river. Not as impressive as some others but worth a look. Watch out for parking: if the gate at Rue les Barrieres is open DO NOT DRIVE in. It looks like there is parking for the visitors but this entrance is obviously only for the people working in the castle. Once inside the gates, they can be closed remotely and you are locked in. I made this mistake and had to wait quite a while until a person working in the castle left for lunch. I couldn’t find anyone to open the gates as it was lunch time and the cafe and the ticket booth were unmanned.

Beautiful castle full of history and the tour guide was really informative. After the tour you should take a strollI in the gardens and enjoy beautiful views of the castle. Be sure to check the opening hours in advance. The castle, Parc and tea room are closed between twelve and two during the low season. When we visitited the castle we only could enter the castle if we joined a tour guide (included in entrance fee). The tea room has minimal service and should provide better service (fresh teas, better coffee, improved furniture,...)

Came here a couple of years ago but because we the grounds. This year we could go in and it was definitely worth a look. Lots of rooms to see, all furnished wel with original pieces. The laminate we were given had lots of information on which came in really useful and made sure we didn't miss anything. There is an underground river which has been restored which is down a 200mtr tunnel. We walked to the end - it was cold and damp!! The entrance fee of 11 euros each is very reasonable. When we came out it had started raining so we couldn't really walk round the grounds. They are extensive but not spectacular with shrubs/flowers or formal gardens like some of the chateaux we have visited. All in all a throughly enjoyable afternoon and a must place to visit if you are...
