Walked up on a Saturday just to have a look around and realised you could visit it! Self guided tour €3.50, with all the information required in either French or English, maybe other languages too. Well signposted, the information clear, a very helpful reception lady gave some initial information too. There has been a great amount of restauration work, with more to be done, it is obvious that the current owner is passionate about it. Do allow a couple of hours for a leisurely visit but it can be visited in less than that. Most of the visit is outdoors so be prepared for inclement weather if the case. There is a little shop too for drinks, some local produce and souvenirs,...

Very cool place. They are pretty far with the restauration and the view is smashing. You can take a guided tour or be your own tour guide with a map and a very informative and entertaining field guide available in French, English and Dutch. You get to really understand how the place was built and used for nearly a 1000 years. The people at the reception spoke excellent English. We spent about an hour on the site and had to only pay 7 euro's for 2 adult and 2 children. The town is also well worth a visit with its 17th century market hall, church and...

We did the murder history at 6:30 and had the castle for ourselves. It was a very fun way to see the monument and spend kids with our teenagers. The game is really for 13 and above. It requires to be able to read and analyse a lot of information to find out who the murderer is. It is possible with a 12 year old but it is best if an adult play with them. Friendly staff.
