Domaine de Marie is amazing! My family and I were visiting from the United States. We got a tour of the winery and wine cellar from the summer intern Alexon (not sure if I’m spelling it right), and he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and welcoming. He recommended that we walk around Menerbes after the tasting, and it is a beautiful village. We also ate dinner at the Bastide de Marie right next to the winery, and it is a stunning place. The food was incredible, it was a 3 course meal. I emailed them to set all of this up, and they made everything simple. Highly recommend!

Bien que mon commentaire soit mitigĂ©, qu'on ne s'y trompe pas : ce domaine propose des vins intĂ©ressants, n'hĂ©sitez pas Ă  vous y arrĂȘter... mais en toute connaissance de cause ! Le problĂšme rĂ©side plutĂŽt dans l'accueil. Si, comme moi et de naĂŻfs vacanciers qui s'y arrĂȘtent, vous n'avez pas rĂ©servĂ©, aĂŻe : attendez-vous 1) Ă  une remontrance que vous n'aurez droit qu'Ă  une dĂ©gustation et non Ă  une visite car "c'est Ă©crit sur le site" (web, j'imagine) et 2) que la dĂ©gustation sera rĂ©duite Ă  1 rosĂ©, 2 blancs et 2 rouges (tout de mĂȘme) car "ces gens-lĂ , eux, ont payĂ© pour une visite" (et peuvent donc, eux, goĂ»ter aux vins plus Ă©laborĂ©s). C'est vraiment DOMMAGE car cette maison travaille bien, et n'hĂ©site pas Ă  prendre des risques (cĂ©pages GewĂŒrztraminer & muscat, fin d'Ă©levage en amphores), et ce n'est vraiment pas lui rendre service que d'accueillir ses primo-visiteurs tels des garnements qui devraient dĂ©jĂ  connaĂźtre les usages du lieu alors mĂȘme qu'ils ne demandent qu'Ă  dĂ©couvrir... et acheter le fruit de leur dĂ©couverte ! Bref, ça laisse un goĂ»t amer et pas assez de place Ă  ce qui pourtant devrait aller pour le mieux : parmi les vins que nous avons eu le "droit" de goĂ»ter, ma famille et moi avons retenu le rouge "N°1", Ă©tonnamment complexe. Pour les autres, peut-ĂȘtre Ă©taient-ils bons ? Ceux qui auront "rĂ©servĂ© comme Ă©crit sur le site" sauront nous dire...

Previous reviewer wrote - “Uninspired wine tasting experience. The hosts put no effort or preparation into the event; they did not offer any perspective into the history of the vineyard, or the process by which their wines are made. We were greeted very coldly, and were made to feel unwelcome. Would not recommend”

Could not agree more. Been to our fair share of vineyards across the world and this was one of the worst. I can’t say anything about the wine because I wasn’t even offered a glass
. lol. Rude host. Didn’t acknowledge our presence. Was seemingly nice to the patrons just before us refused to say even a full sentence to us even when I asked about the wine - Just shrugged her shoulders and said “it’s a rose, from 2022”. Wife and I laughed and left. Shameful.

Seems that the previous reviewers feedback wasn’t taken seriously and they may still benefit from some reflection on how they treat...

Location and interrior of cellar were really nice but we were really dissappointed with wine tasting tour. First of all, lady that works there wasn’t really interested into wine tasting as from her attitude. Whole tasting tour length was literally under 15 minutes for 5 different wines. Not to mention that we were standing on our feet on the entrance. Secondly, all 5 wines were served in the same glass and each bottle was already opened and more than half of each bottle was empty.

Hopefully next time you will take better care...
