Château de Sassy — Attraction in Argentan

An interesting old chateau where Queen Elizabeth II visited and stayed in 1967. You can only visit with a guide who speaks English very well. There are several rooms to see in the chateau and the history of the family is quite interesting. There are formal French gardens to see for which you have to walk down several large terraces with stone steps to get to the bottom. Une étoile pour remercier l'agent de maintenance qui a remplacé la guide (en vacances) pour nous faire la visite en 3/4 d'heure au lieu d'une heure prévue. Grâce à son smartphone et a la lecture nous l'avons suivi dans les allés du jardin a la française en partie défiguré par la chenille ravageuse. Puis nous avons visité la bibliothèque du château et enfin la chapelle a proximité du château. Tout ça pour 8€ l'entrée. Un peu excessif pour ne visiter qu'une pièce du château en si peu de temps avec une guide en vacances...bref attendez plutôt que les travaux de réhabilitation soient terminés pour venir visiter le château et non pas une pièce du...
