Rock of Oëtre — Attraction in Argentan

Some lovely walks to be had along the river, steep and muddy in places but mostly very easy. Pick up a map/leaflet in the excellent visitor center and you will have a very pleasant afternoon. I knocked off one star for the overblown way they promote it. I appreciate this is the only non-flat landscape in Normandy, but the Grand Canyon it ain't. Just a nice little valley with good...

Nothing special, but still good to see the landscape and take a breath of fresh air.

Next to the area, public services and a bar to get refreshments if needed (especially after a long walk)

In such a respect, walking down the cliff,l via the forest is absolutely a pleasure. And arriving from the top, sit on a stone next to the running river ... It will give a marvelous...

Excellent site to stop and walk along the top of the cliff and look down at the gorge, or take one of the parcour routes down to the river Orne. Definitely recommend the cafe - the food is fabulous and you get a wonderful welcome from the team - nothing is too much trouble. The visitor centre is also very good and has a playground...
