Peirou Lake — Attraction in Arles

2 main ways to get there.... An easy, mostly shaded, walk along asphalt via Avenue Antoine de la Salle. OR A more arduous but rewarding hike on the red and white path that joins the lake to the main Avenue Vincent van Gogh up the road, ,south of the Glanum paid car park. When windy think it over, it's not easy to stay around the small lake, and ofcourse when it's calm and ideal you're not the only one who has planned a visit. Though the lake is the attraction, the many trails around for hiking or climbing are the real reason to visit. Families and children under the trees and figures of adventurers high...

Le lac en lui même est super, c'est très agréable de faire un picnic le dimanche.

MAIS, les riverains ont décidé qu'il y avait trop de monde/touristes autour de LEUR lac donc ils ont fait privatier l'accès (par arrêté préfectoral). Il n'est possible d'y aller qu'à pied et bien sûr il n'y a pas de parking proche de la petite route qui permet d'y accèder. On peut se garer à Saint-Rémy mais avec la chaleur je vous laisse imaginer ce que ça donne... Il y a pourtant bien un joli petit parking mais qui est réservé, accrocher vous, à l'amicale des pêcheurs qui s'y trouve. Comme quoi il ne s'agit pas de protection de l'environnement... Motif de la privatisation: "Risque de mettre le feu s'il y a trop de monde". Euh, alors perso pour allumer un barbuc je n'ai besoin que d'une allumette, transportable en sac à dos.

Bref, si vous ne voulez pas vous prendre 135 euros d'amende, passez votre chemin.

PS: j'habite moi aussi pas loin de Saint-Rémy, quand on ne veut voir personne on déménage dans...
