Lupiac is a beautiful small town, the birthplace of Charles de Batz de Castlemore, a Capitaine Lieutenant des Mousquetaires du Roi, upon whom Alexandre Dumas based his character d'Artagnan. The statue itself is only of real value for Dumas fans however as part of the charming town of Lupiac, and its' history, it is a central point of interest.

One of the most charming villages I’ve ever visited. There are a couple of boutique shops, a quaint little restaurant, a church, and a museum dedicated to D’Artagnan! If you’re passing through the south of France, take a walk through and visit the museum. It’s small and only €5 but a fun activity you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
