My daughter and I spent a very interesting hour having a personal tour around what is left of the castle. The young lady who worked so hard to translate into English for us must be congratulated as she did her very best to tell us the history of Puisserguier castle, from the Celts and there burial rituals and the Romans who left a few Amphora for modern archaeologist to find and the fascinating painted wooden boards telling an almost complete story of love between a young aristocrat and her four suiters. Although only a few buildings are still preserved in their original state, the guide offered a nice overview of how the castle changed throughout the years by looking at the remnant buildings, street structure of the surrounding village, 3d animations and archeological findings. They are currently planning to build a museum in one of the rooms of the castle where they will also put objects found around puisserguier of Roman settlements (including some well preserved Roman coins) and of a nearby necropolis. Formidable, un bon dans le temps, dans notre histoire lointaine et très riche. Une visite guidée par Mr CHABERT, un passionné de l'histoire de France et précisément de sa région lors de cette visite.
