Mas du Novi — Attraction in Béziers

We are in Sete for a week and wanted to visit a winery….ideally organic. A little googling and I came across Mas Du Novi…..although he was working on his own….Ludwig was able to take care of 3 groups of people….while teaching us the ways of the winery and showing us the beautiful grounds and buildings (they are in the process of finishing a beautiful event space)…we will not hesitate to recommend Mas Du Novi to any and all that are in search of beautifully crafted wines. The independent winery Mas du Novi is beautifully situated on the D5 in Montagnac and is truly a hidden gem.

The domaine offers excellent wines. Besides the Prestigi, we particularly like the N de Novi and O de Novi.

What is special are wines that mature in amphorae and earthenware without being pressed.

When we visited the domaine, Ludovic told us the history of the domaine in detail and gave us a very interesting tour just for us.

We visited the vineyard this afternoon and were made very welcome by the team and Niege the dog. Mereille showed us the winery including the large steel vats, the large terracotta eggs , stonewear containers and the French oak barrels in which the wine was fermented and then stored - fascinating We tasted 7 of the 11 available wines and they were all delicious.
