I am really mixed on this one. It is humbling to be where the American Rangers fought so valiantly and this takes nothing away from their sacrifice. The problem is everything is fenced off. You can’t really explore and really take it in. I was here several years ago and you could walk all around and go into all the bunkers and tobruks and really be immersed in the experience but now you have to follow just a fenced in path and it goes by bunkers (except like one or two you can go in). Well worth a visit to get a perspective of not only what the rangers had to deal with in their assault also to get a vista of the Normandy beaches and cliffs. Unless you have extreme of mobility issues you should be able to get all the way out to the point, As long as you can traverse a...

You can still see the impact of the naval and airforce bombardments prior to the initial attack of the rangers #rangersleadtheway 🙏
It is well maintained and even accessible for disabled.
If you are interested in a fully intact bunker, then I would recommend to visit Longues-sur-Mer...
