We happened across this producer as we were passing, and are glad that we did. Upon arrival we were greeted by the viticulteur who invited us to take a stroll amongst the vines and take in the views. He talked us through the history (in perfect English), how he’d come to settle in this location and the origins of the vines he grows. We were then invited to the cave du vin where he talked us though the different cuvées whilst we enjoyed a tasting. All organic and very suited to our palette we particularly enjoyed the method traditionelle, Tauzin (vin blanc sec), Vieilles Vigbes Cabernet Franc and his ‘Strawberry wine’ the Abouriou. Their shared passion for producing beautifully-tasting wines is evident. It was a pleasure to sample several of their repertoire of organically-produced wines, and to receive a tour of the winery - and the wine-making process - from the knowledgeable proprietors.

Read moreFamily visit to Domaine de la Tuque (we had not booked) and was warmly welcomed by one of the owners. He immediately took to our Grandaughter (9 months) who smiled constantly during the visit. His explanation of their wine making process was very interesting as was the tour and tasting session. All the wines have their own distinct flavour and are superb (bought all of them !!) and being organic are better for your head !! The view towards Chateau de Biron was a great unexpected photo moment. Would definitely visit again when in this area. Thank you Domaine...
