The Mont Blanc is an easy way to avoid Switzerland through to Italy if you are a truck driver, but it's expensive I mean €550 return for a Truck, the return ticket lasts 14 days. Remember either side you must get the emissions ticket Euro 5 and 6 are only allowed to travel through the tunnel, if you do not get the emissions ticket you will be turned around and will have to drive the 30 kilometers back to the emissions station. The emissions station is better signposted on the French side in 3 languages, French, Italian and English. Trucks normally at night you cannot go through with a truck, I think from 9pm until 5am, you have to park up at the emissions station in lines and then get your emissions ticket then drive through in the morning. The emissions station have good free toilets, showers and a coffee machine. It's 2 way traffic through the tunnel so concentration is needed, plus do not speed! Cameras are watching your speed, which is normally 70kmh and no slower than 50kmh. Cars are €60 return and Motorcycles €40. The run up both sides is beautiful.

Great quick way to get from the French to the Italian side of the Alps. The wait on the Italian side is usually negligible. Whereas the wait on the French side can take up to an hour+. You can check the times and wait and a live webcam of the tunnel entry at the montblanc tunnel website. Cost wise is 46/47 euro and change one way and 56/57 euro for a round trip. It's a relatively very easy drive and the ticket kiosks send you one by one about 150 meters apart. Speed limit is 50km minimum and 70 km maximum.

Overpriced for motorbikes and the waiting time just to get into the tunnel does not make it worth it. I just wanted to try it out, but next time I rather just go around Mont Blanc and enjoy nature for free! Be careful for hidden speed cameras in France. The cameras in France are not designed to ensure that speed limits are followed, but rather to take your money.

Păstrați distanța si respectați viteza, multe radare in tunel!
