Château d'Eyran — Attraction in Bordeaux

We had a great visit there.The property is wonderful, around the wineyards in calm nice region.The wine are excellentsantwell presented.The most important that our host very nice, young lady unfortunally i forget her name was just perfect.She has a big knowledge not only about wines from property , but also general knowledge about wines.Her introduction was very interesting and we could ask her about everything.I visited already a lot of winieries in the region but this one i found the most interesting .She is just a brillant .I highly recomendate it to anyone who would like to have some knowledge, fun and spend some nice time in a beautiful , calm place.We could also come there with a dog what is another positive point for me.If you will be around dont miss this place or at least try their wines.Thank you very much...

Most enjoyable visit. Excellent explanation of vinification process, history of estate and you will get a real feel of the grapes and the terroir. Mr Charles Savigneux is an enthousiastic tourguide of his own estate, and open to questions while performing the tour.

This is why you come to Bordeaux. And the wine is excellent also, by the way...

You will taste the wines of the estate in a dégustation at the end of the tour, all of them if you want, and even the separate grapes of the assemblage of the wines from the barriques themselves.

If you are lucky, you might even meet the countess De Seze herself at the old chateau, who is as noble, stylish, friendly and approachable as the estate itself. As Rick Stein or the late Anthony Bourdain would say: « A real gem!!! »

We had a really lovely tour and tasting at Chateau d’Eyran. Our guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions, big and small. At the end we got a very educational tasting, that highlighted how changes in parameters such as grape varieties, barrel vs steel tank aging and even soil affects the taste and complexity of the wine. We learned so much about our own preference in wine. Would recommend to anyone visiting this...
