We spent a lovely couple of hours at this beautiful chateau having travelled by bus, which was very easy from Bordeaux. We had booked the Gourmande experience, which included a tour and tasting of 4 wines (2 reds, 1 white, 1 rose) with charcuterie, cheeses and bread - plenty of everything. The tour was ideal for relative novices such as us, with an outline of the wine-making process which was easy to understand. The tasting included a brief talk about each wine with food recommendations. Our guide was happy to answer questions throughout the tour. To my delight, I was treated to a private tour of the winery’s cellars and vat room with Sophie, a lovely guide brimming with knowledge about the winemaking process and the chateau’s wines. Read moreWe had the tour booked online for 45€ per person. The tour throughout the whole stations of processes of winemaking where pretty informative and took 2.5 hours. From or guide we were told interesting stories around Bordeaux wines with having served the different juices of development. The caves with the tools for bottling, the presentation of old "grand crus classés", the dégustation and the château itself is worth watching. Very nice to experience! Evaluation: Pure visit with tasting is cheaper and will fulfil your needs of experiencing a visit to winemaking castle...
