We spent a lovely couple of hours at this beautiful chateau having travelled by bus, which was very easy from Bordeaux. We had booked the Gourmande experience, which included a tour and tasting of 4 wines (2 reds, 1 white, 1 rose) with charcuterie, cheeses and bread - plenty of everything. The tour was ideal for relative novices such as us, with an outline of the wine-making process which was easy to understand. The tasting included a brief talk about each wine with food recommendations. Our guide was happy to answer questions throughout the tour. We were permitted to walk around the vines too - the whole setting is beautiful (NB the chateau itself is off limits). I would fully recommend -...

My week in Bordeaux included a fantastic visit to Chateau du Taillan. After an easy bus ride from Bordeaux, it was a short walk to the chateau itself. To my delight, I was treated to a private tour of the winery’s cellars and vat room with Sophie, a lovely guide brimming with knowledge about the winemaking process and the chateau’s wines. I savoured a tasting of four of their wines, and chose two favourites to purchase. Chateau du Taillan boasts a charming concept store where I discovered some beautiful new jewellery, my favourite kind of souvenir. This was a delightful way to spend a few hours, and I highly recommend a trip to...

We had the tour booked online for 45€ per person. The tour throughout the whole stations of processes of winemaking where pretty informative and took 2.5 hours. From or guide we were told interesting stories around Bordeaux wines with having served the different juices of development. The caves with the tools for bottling, the presentation of old "grand crus classés", the dégustation and the château itself is worth watching. Very nice to experience! Evaluation: Pure visit with tasting is cheaper and will fulfil your needs of experiencing a visit to winemaking castle...

10 things to do in France’s most famous wine region: BORDEAUX⬇️ this is one of my favorite regions of France… not only does this region have an incredible city center that reminds me of Paris, but it also has world-renowned wines, charming French villages & beautiful wine châteaux. I recently traveled to this area with @clinkdifferent to discover the Bordeaux hype & here were some of my favorite things to do in this famous wine region! -take a hot air balloon ride + tasting above the vineyards at sunrise @chateauboutisse -explore the quaint medieval village of Saint-Émilion, world-famous for its wineries -go on a wine tasting tour at Bordeaux’s beautiful wine châteaux… there are many here, but my favorites were @chateau_de_la_riviere @chateaudeferrand @chateaudutaillan where you can discover Bordeaux’s famous red blends as well as sparkling, white & rosé styles -explore the world’s largest wine museum, @laciteduvin, with the coolest interactive exhibitions + wine tastings -get lost in the beautiful streets of Bordeaux’s city center. Bordeaux is a vast region, but also has a stunning city that inspired the architecture of Paris! -make your own fragrance in a perfume atelier + wine tasting at @chateaukirwan -go on a TukTuk tour to discover some of Bordeaux’s monuments -take a day trip to the beautiful coastline to the west of Bordeaux, Cap Ferret, where you can find cute restaurants, great beaches for surfing, fresh seafood, & sand dunes at Dune du Pilat -try the famous Bordelaise pastry, Canelé, flavored with rum & vanilla -stay overnight & enjoy a tasting meal at @chateaudeferrand *Campaign financed with aid from the European Union* The content of this promotion campaign represents the views of the author only & is his/her sole responsibility. Loved it! We opted for the chateau and cave tour with wine tasting. Getting to see inside the house and wine production areas was really special, and our guide was so friendly and informative (sorry we didn't get your name). Tasting was also excellent fun and taught us a lot! We also briefly met the Chateau owner and her beautiful dog(the company mascot) which was nice 🙂. Easily accessible by bus from Bordeaux center so don't worry if you don't have a car!
