My husband and I had our wedding here in September 2024 and could not have been happier with our choice of venue. We absolutely loved being able to spend the entire weekend with our family and friends together in one place, and our guests all commented how gorgeous the Château was.
The courtyard was perfect for our welcome dinner and rehearsal dinner ( 50 guests), the rosarie was picture-perfect for our reception (85 guests), and the orchard was absolutely stunning in the late-afternoon for our cocktail hour. We initially hoped to have our dinner in the orchard as well, but with the late-September chill we had to make a last minute move into the reception hall/dining room, which turned out even more beautiful than we had hoped.
Gerard, the owner, is an absolute sweetheart, and his love and care for the chateau shine through across every space. Likewise, the concierges who help coordinate the preparation and cleaning were extremely sweet and communicative, and a pleasure to work with. (Even after some of our guests had to leave early the morning after the wedding and left their cottages/rooms in a less-than-ideal state of cleanliness, the staff at Sentout was extremely pleasant and reasonable about the clean-up, which we greatly appreciated).
All-in-all, we could not have been happier with our wedding at Château Sentout, and absolutely recommend it to anyone considering it for their...
Read moreWe fell in love with Château Sentout for its beautiful gardens and charming atmosphere. The “Do It Yourself” concept appealed to us, and our early communication with Gérard was positive.
However, in the months leading up to the wedding, the experience became very stressful. New rules were frequently introduced, sometimes last-minute, creating frustration and pressure. We received unexpected restrictions about tents, music, access, and more. This made planning feel very chaotic, frustrating, and stressful. We had to adjust our wedding plans multiple times, even just two weeks before the wedding weekend.
The location is beautiful, especially in good weather but it offers too few options in case of rain, particularly due to very specific tent restrictions and placement. Some images on social media also gave a misleading impression of what is actually allowed at the venue.
After feeling unwelcome at first, the wedding day itself went smoothly and our guests had a great time. The location is truly beautiful, but we hope Château Sentout improves its organization and communication. It has the potential to be just as exceptional in service as it is...
Read moreChâteau Sentout is one of those places that you can only dream of when you’re searching for your wedding venue. Aside from being picture-postcard perfect, there are gites to sleep 50 people, a nice pool, barbecues, a cherry orchard and a stunning rosary with lots of places to spend time with your friends and family. The host and owner (Gerard) is kind, generous, patient and most importantly of all laid back. We had 50 guests stay at the Château and another 50 stay nearby for a long weekend around our wedding day on the Saturday. Ours was very much a DIY wedding in order to ensure it was truly ‘ours’ and also to save a little on costs and Gerard was quite happy to allow us to use his property as we pleased providing we respected it and returned it back to normal before we left. Some of the rooms feel a little outdated but it really doesn't matter when you have so much more going for this place. A supermarket, bakery and pizza place are a short drive away and you can walk to a nearby vineyard for tastings - you can even go wakeboarding on a lake less than...
