This B&B in an old chateau surrounded by its vineyards is a very peaceful place to stay. If you want nightlife, a bar, wifi or TV in your room then this is not for you though there is a TV and access to a computer in the lounges downstairs. Our host welcomed us and showed us to our room despite us being very early for check in. He also tried manfully to help us log in to the wifi for our tablet and phones in the computer room but we were not successful. He did mention a tour of the bodega but this did not materialise as our hosts left later for the evening leaving us as the only people in the chateau. ||Our room was huge and beautifully furnished and decorated to reflect the age and grandeur of the building. Fabric on the walls to match other items in the room. We had arrived on a Sunday and found everywhere closed in Tresses but we did receive a warm welcome from the owner of local sports bar in Pompignac the next village. When we returned to the chateau the hosts kindly offered us the use of the kitchen as we did not want to go out for dinner. Instead we ate a picnic of cheese, pate, bread and salad bought at the local Sunday market in Libourne with a nice bottle of Bordeaux and watched as two young deer appeared from the vineyard to graze in front of the house. Quite surreal.||This was one of the quietest places I have ever stayed in and so we both slept well in our luxurious bedroom. The breakfast, however, was a little disappointing. A basic continental breakfast which did not really match the surroundings and experience we had. A little more effort needs to be made for the Breakfast to...

Read moreLast time when traveling in Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion, I wanted to take a break halfway and stayed at the 18th-century castle vineyard - Chateau Senailhac. Each room at Chateau Senailhac corresponds to the name of the land, which is very poetic. . The entire hotel is very well-preserved, the carpets look spotless, the beds are very large, and the rooms are equipped with fireplaces, antique French tables and chairs, and displays. On sunny days, you can sit on the chairs outside and you can also enjoy the beautiful sunset at dusk. . It is still the season for grapes to grow, so you can see the staff going to the vineyard early in the morning, imagining the branches bearing fruit and turning into delicious wine, which is quite magical. . You can go to a bistro in the nearby town for dinner at night, and you can also have breakfast at the hotel, with cheese, milk, coffee, croissants, and more. ️. Here, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, just quietly staying with nature, life can also be very comfortable. . 📍Château Sénailhac, Av. de Senailhac, 33370...
