Amazing view along the coastline in both directions particularly when the weather is clear, as it was today. Worth a visit just for the views. Several footpaths lead along the coast from here to other pleasant places to visit such as Port Vendres, Banyuls sur Mer and Pauliles.
It is possible to drive much of the route from Port Vendres if you can't be bothered walking but I would not recommend driving in summer as the road is narrow, with very few places suitable to pass.
Interesting to read later this evening that the many scattered building remains past the old lighthouse were built by the Germans after they invaded to prevent counter attack by the Allies. (NL) Superleuke uitstap te bereiken langs een leuk, smal bergweggetje (te bereiken met de auto of te voet) met prachtige uitzichten! Achter de vuurtoren kan je nog helemaal tot op het einde van de klif lopen. Aan de vuilbakken bij de parking kan je een weggetje naar beneden nemen naar een baaitje, maar wij zijn een 5-tal min verder gereden naar een klein strandje aan de Port-Vendres. Super gezellig en fantastisch om te snorkelen, want het zit et vol met mooie visjes, zeekrabbetjes, zee-egels, anemonen, ...
(FR) Voyage super amusant à atteindre le long d'une belle route de montagne étroite (accessible en voiture ou à pied) avec de belles vues ! Derrière le phare, vous pouvez marcher jusqu'au bout de la falaise. Aux poubelles du parking, vous pouvez emprunter une petite route jusqu'à une baie, mais nous avons conduit environ 5 minutes plus loin jusqu'à une petite plage de Port-Vendres. Super confortable et fantastique pour la plongée avec tuba, car il regorge de beaux poissons, crabes de mer, oursins, anémones, ...

Darrere del far es pot caminar fins al final del penya-segat. Als contenidors de l'aparcament podeu agafar una petita carretera que baixa fins a una badia, però vam anar uns 5 minuts més enllà fins a una petita platja del Port-Vendres.
