You are not allowed to swim here!

Swimming on the Alga beach in Calvi is prohibited as of August 14, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. for an indefinite period.

There are places afterwords where we saw people swim but since its forbidden because of potential risk of pollution, I highly recommend not to.

The view here though is pretty nice. Especially when you walk down and take a look at the cliffs on the other side.

Parking There is a parking spot on top of the hill. If you have a 4X4 you can go down the street and park at the bottom. (Street down is in terrible condition)

Restaurants There are no restaurants or buildings for tourist at this...

I see the reviews are a year old, note the large piles of seaweed piled up on the right of some of the photos with lots of people on the beach. When we walked by they had not cleaned the beach and it was stinky and more seaweed than anyone is walking through. Regardless, we did find some pretty spots up the point towards the lighthouse, but overall the water is much more dirtier and with garbage compared to some of the other beaches - presumably due to its...

The beach is beautiful! One of the clearest waters I’ve seen in Europe with a lot of fish and vegetation on the bottom of the sea. The way to reach it is a bit challenging in the sense that there’s no paved path, but once reached there, it’s really worth it. Make sure you bring food and water with you if you plan to spend a couple of hours as there’s no markets or shops around.

Visited Plage de l'Alga with high expectations, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to them. The beach itself lacks charm and offers little in terms of facilities or scenery. In my opinion, there are better beach options in the area. Not worth a visit.
