Château Cabrières SCEA — Attraction in Carpentras

We drove 1.5 hrs to get to the Chateau. Before we left we visited their website and the hours clearly indicate 1:30-5:30 and there is no mention of having to make a reservation.

When we arrived we were told that we absolutely needed a reservation. There were no other customers there and we would have been happy just to purchase a few bottles of wine to make our journey worthwhile. But we were told, "Non!" The worst service in Chateaunef du Pape. I visited twice this place in a couple of days. At first time, I was told that testing must be booked ahead. I have sent the email with the tasting request, but I haven't gotten any answer. When I came again, they said that they don't make tasting at all because- THEY DON'T HAVE ANY BOTTLE OPENED ! Wir konnten mit dem Wohnmobil am Château übernachten. Es war wunderbar ! Bei einer kleinen Weinverkostung wurde uns das Glück bewusst, dieses Kleinod zufällig gefunden zu haben. Vom Hof hatten wir sogar Blick auf den Mont Ventoux. Bei der nächsten Reise würden wir sicher gerne wieder diese Gastfreundschaft genießen....
