Château de Nalys — Attraction in Carpentras

Super friendly staff and great wine.

Thing I liked: Wine - good white and red. Interesting enough they are one of the few houses in the region with ~15% of white Chateauneuf du Pape's production. Staff - really friendly & knowledgeable host willing to explain not only the story of the house but also the region and giving us additional insights. Location - amazing winery beautiful vineyards before arriving to the actual house totally worth the visit.

Things I didn't like: There was no water available - it would have been nice given the day was super warm and in between...

We did some wine tastings and tours in Provence, but Chateau de Nalys was the best. I recommend to choose this winery because of detailed and very informative tour of history, owners, wineyard, winemaking process inside, including cellar and small museum. Our guide Caroline was very nice and knowledgeable, she responded all of our questions, not only about winery, but also about the region and wine making as such. Tour was finished by tasting of 7 wines, all were high quality. Tour was slightly more than hour and costs 7 eur pp, suggest to call them upfront, they speak...

Lovely experience! Highly recommended experience for an authentic wine tasting in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Caroline gave us such a quick answer by email, and planning the visit with her was so easy. There, we had a complete tour around the vineyards and the wine factory of Chateau de Nalys. The visit ended with the wine tasting (2 red 2 white wines).
