Priceless place listed as a Historic Monument since 1946, it is, without a doubt, the jewel of the Auvillar city. The circular plan fits beautifully into the triangular plaza. This configuration is particularly rare in the greater Southwest and even in France. In the 13th century, a rectangular hall stood in the middle of the square. It was replaced by the current hall in 1825. A very elegant building supported by 20 Tuscan-style columns, whose remarkable framework is covered with “canal” tiles. Inside, you can read the names of several cereals as well as meslin (mixture of wheat and rye) and champart (mixture of rye, barley and wheat).
