Gorgeous Clock Tower which was classified as a Historic Monument in 1978. Built in place of a fortified gate equipped with a drawbridge, this elegant construction from the end of the 16th century invites the visitor to enter the historic heart of the city (there were three access gates to the village). Built in bricks and stones, it has 3 floors separated by cords that punctuate the exterior facade. The roof is surmounted by a wrought iron cage. The current bell decorated with a Gothic inscription comes from the former Jacobin convent (current gendarmerie) and was placed at the top of the tower during the Revolution. The windows on each floor and the entrance porch are semicircular openings. To see, a plaque is affixed to the south facade in homage to the famous troubadour Marcabrun, a native of Auvillar.
