Awesome museum in and around the house of Robert Tatin, in and on which he worked for more than 20 years, until his death. Very impressive sculpture and paintings, but the house itself with its decorations and walkway of giants are even more superb. Even if you don't like or know much about art, this eclectic mix of a myriad of styles, techniques and materials is bound to capture your attention and feed your imagination. An inspirational artist and a wonderfully preserved legacy. A must visit when you are in Mayenne and worth the drive if you are just outside Laval. We drove up from Saint Gemmes Robert and it was worth the 1 hour drive. If you want to do the tour, call up first and ask for an English speaking guide. We didn't do this and the tour was in French. Very friendly staff and an...

A series of interesting giant statues that lead down to his house and the most amazing architectural sculptures of his museum. The grounds are also very pleasing and all for just 4 euros. The mind of this man is difficult to comprehend but his work is different to anything I have seen before. You can also see examples of his art work which again is...
