Plage de Chambon — Attraction in Châteauroux

A good spot to get some lake time. The little beach is easy to access for kids and parking options are pretty good and generally just a short walk. The bad things is that there is little to no shade, and there’s a ton of wasps so pulling out some drinks or snacks is almost impossible.

The kids (ages 8-15) enjoyed the obstacle course in the water which is affordable at €7 for 45 minutes. Staff is friendly. The 8 year-old needed an adult to come along for an additional €3 and even adults can have some fun at the challenging obstacles!

We also opted to have the kids be pulled on a raft behind a speedboat. Tons of fun, but you feel ripped off when they advertise 12 minutes and they rush rush rush and rotate people in and out about every 5-6 minutes. Depuis que cet endroit a été rajeuni et amélioré, c'est une bonne plage. Emportez votre pique-nique. Ne vous attendez pas à ce que toutes les activités soient ouvertes, vous serez déçus. Il n'y a qu'un seul bar/restaurant dont le menu est essentiellement composé de pizzas. Il est peu probable que vous vous y rendiez si vous n'avez pas réservé une table à l'avance. Cette année, plusieurs membres de notre famille ont constaté que le jeu d'eau gonflable n'était pas ouvert. Les enfants étant trop jeunes pour utiliser les bateaux à skis, il n'y avait pas grand chose d'autre à faire. Très déçu. La publicité de ce lieu est très mauvaise. Pas d'horaires d'ouverture ni de raisons pour lesquelles ils n'étaient pas ouverts. Famille visitée le vendredi 16 août à 11h30 et le dimanche 25 août à 10h30.

Very hot day, nice clean beach, toilets were horrible, kids treated very badly by assault course "older kids" running it, had to get money back, then despite having already paid for the pool, and it closing in 15 minutes, kids were charged again to go in...Nice...
