Distillerie Citadelle Gin — Attraction in Cognac

Today, we had the pleasure of visiting the Citadelle Gin Distillery, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our tour, expertly led by Emma and Yohann, was both informative and delightful. Their deep knowledge of the company and the gin-making process truly enhanced our visit.

The distillery offers a comprehensive look into its operations, allowing us to see everything firsthand, from the juniper fields and the greenhouse where citrus is cultivated to the distillation process itself. Each step of the journey was fascinating and underscored the commitment to quality and innovation at Citadelle.

We were particularly impressed by the unique gin varieties, including an unexpected yet delightful cornichon (pickle) gin that surprised and pleased our palates. This creativity in flavor development is a testament to Citadelle’s innovative spirit.

We are already looking forward to returning next year to explore more of what Citadelle...

Wow, what a great experience! We booked the gin tour and were guided by Johan (forgive me if I misspelled it). He was so knowledgeable and passionate about their brands and products, answering all questions and telling great stories throughout the distillation process of their incredible gin. From the history of gin to the production and finishing with the tasting, it was fantastic! The facilities were a great mix of modern design and the older distillery buildings and property. We would absolutely recommend coming and taking a tour to experience...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Une visite qu’on n’oubliera pas.

On était 9, réunis pour l’enterrement de vie de garçon de notre ami Vincent, et on ne s’attendait pas à vivre un moment aussi cool, aussi drôle, aussi vivant.

La distillerie est superbe, les produits sont délicieux… mais ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c’est Emma. Emma, c’est ce genre de personne qui arrive à mettre tout le monde à l’aise en deux phrases. Elle connaît son sujet sur le bout des doigts, elle a de l’humour, elle parle beaucoup (et c’est un vrai talent), et surtout, elle aime ce qu’elle fait et ça se sent.

Elle a réussi à capter notre attention alors qu’on était bruyants, dissipés, déjà un peu joyeux (pour ne pas dire pompette) et elle nous a embarqués dans une vraie expérience. On a appris des choses, on a bien ri, on a bu (raisonnablement hein), et surtout, on s’est régalés.

Alors merci Emma, vraiment. C’était génial. Et Alexandre, si jamais tu doutes : garde-la précieusement. Elle fait briller cet endroit.
