Jean Dietrich of Alsace Wines — Attraction in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

This was excellent experience. I sent a message the day before asking if we could do a visit & tasting, not expecting to hear back as a lot of domaines are busy with the harvest at the moment. I was pleased to receive a positive response very quickly. The visit of the cave was interesting and our host was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. We really enjoyed seeing all the machinery in the cave and learnt a lot. We then had the opportunity to taste some really good quality wines and we didn’t feel at all rushed, it was a very nice experience. I would highly recommend this domaine both for the quality of the wines and the professional yet friendly staff....

Décevant ... A travers les bons commentaires je décide d'utiliser ma Smartbox pour profiter d'une visite de cave, dégustation avec coffret cadeau - valeur de 70€ tout de même Arrivé à 10h15 et reparti a 11h, tout a été expéditif Nous avons été gentiment accueillis par l'apprenti qui a tenté tant bien que mal de nous donner le maximum d'informations en sa possession et répondre à nos questions Malheureusement elle n'étais pas accompagné et ne s'étais probablement jamais essayer a l'exercice surtout que ces études n'ont rien à voir avec le domaine viticole Nous avions réalisé d'autres dégustation chez des caviste passionné qui était bien présent pour nous partager leur savoir faire Le gérant ou fils du gérant est seulement venu pour encaisser notre chèque cadeau sans même nous demander si le moment ce passait bien La note atteint 2 pour la gentillesse...

The wine was actually pretty good but the wine steward was terrible. He looked at his phone the whole time & was completely disinterested in doing his job. We took 2 bottles of wine but we would have purchased more if we enjoyed the atmosphere ....
