Lac Blanc — Attraction in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

This is literally one of the prettiest places I've seen in France. We took the navette de crêtes from Colmar Train Station and we ended up to the station de lac Blanc (be careful, the bus drivers don't announce the stops and it's not the last stop as shown on the itinerary). From there we followed the hiking trail with the ⭕ sign, which is 5.5 km and takes about 2.30 hours. The first part was easy with amazing views of the lake. The second part where you had to get down the lake was demanding and I wouldn't recommend doing it without proper shoes (athletics or even better hiking shoes). In the north of the Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges lies the small Lac Blanc at an altitude of 1,055 meters. The lake is a crossroads of Grand Randonnée routes (GR 5, GR 531 and GR 532) and one of the hiking trails runs along the Rocher Hans, a magnificent viewpoint for Lac Blanc. Très belle station familiale, nous avons pratiqué 3 jours de randonnée en raquette en famille où les parcours sont bien adaptés et balisés. Il existe d'innombrables magnifiques points de vue pour réaliser de jolis photographies. Nous avons loué notre matériel chez Jacky sport, très bon accueil, personnel très sympathique et compétent. Les gardes forestiers ainsi que la gendarmerie sont présent quotidiennement pour faire respecter les consignes de sécurité ainsi que la préservation de cette magnifique zone protégée. Nous nous sommes restaurés à l'auberge du gazon Faing où les serveuses sont très aimables et les tarifs sont très correct. On y accède, en cette période hivernale, seulement en raquette, en ski ou à pied. Nous avons également consommé aux terrasses du lac blanc afin d'admirer le magnifique panorama devant un bon chocolat chaud en fon de journée, les tarifs y sont correct également, cependant, petit bémol, le personnel n'est pas très expressif et bavard avec la clientèle. L'office du tourisme est bien agencé, nous trouvons tous les documents nécessaires et l'hôtesse d'accueil nous renseigne parfaitement et poliment.
