Pretty chateau well worth a visit, we spent about 1.5hrs there on a rainy morning exploring the castle, we did the battlements walk twice as the kids loved the tricky spiral staircases and being up on top of the castle. The staff were welcoming and gave us an information sheet in English explaining the history of the castle. The facilities are quite basic, no cafe but a little gift shop, not great if you have any...

XIIth century dated castle, very enjoying to visit since your arrival. The site is in restoration. He will satisfy the History enthusiast as much as everyday sightseeing. The tapestry, Bayeux tapestry-styled, tells the glorious story of the living Norman families. Show from may to september, it's a must-see.

The guided tour is highly recommanded. The guide knows his subject and describe the story of the place accurately and amusingly, without turning into an annoying study. It will suits young and old.

A site to visit and deserving to be...

It's a beautiful little castle. Its history is very interesting and you can get a brochure describing it in a lot of different languages (not just French, which is very helpful). It's the only castle we've visited in Normandy where you can go inside and see a lot of the rooms that have been restored and you can even walk on the castle walls.

Entrance fee is 7€ per person, but they use it for the...

A wonderful moated 12th century castle, restored this century from a ruin. €7 closed Tuesday. Most of the castle is accessible, living rooms, kitchen, cider press etc. The towers and roof have great views. The old lodgings give a good feeling of how it was to live here. Amazing tapestry (in the style of Bayeaux) shows the history of the castle and its fortunes and fall. Definitely worth a visit.
